Sunny Canadian celebrated Burning of Witches
One of the most magical nights of the year is coming. The night from April 30 to May 1 is a significant date. The Celts at this time celebrated one of their most important holidays - Beltine, for which they began a calendar summer and a festival of joy and life with them. Apparently, from this feast comes a significantly younger habit - burning witches, which we celebrate every year in Sunny Canadian. Immediately after school finished, Mr. Ron Stiles lit a huge fire in the middle of the school garden. The garden party could start. Our KG teacher, Mrs. Katka Majerová, danced with fire, which is already a tradition. Chemistry based experiments were great as well as the Art Witches Atelier, conducted by Mrs. Lauren Barta. Everybody enjoyed a lot of roasted sausages, grilled cheeses and salads. Although it was windy, we enjoyed a lovely afternoon.
