A Day as a First-Grader at SUNNY: A Day Full of First School Experiences

What is it like to be a schoolchild? Our future first-graders can find out during our traditional A Day as a First-Grader event, organised by SUNNY for preschool children.

Through fun and engaging activities, children will become familiar with the school environment, meet our teachers and get a glimpse of Czech, English and mathematics lessons. They will also experience what a typical school day looks like and explore places they may one day come to know well – from classrooms to the school library and cafeteria.

Why is A Day as a First-Grader beneficial for children? It helps them overcome their worries about an unfamiliar environment, build confidence and look forward to this exciting new chapter in their lives. As a result, starting school and attending the official first-grade enrolment process can become a more enjoyable and less stressful experience.

Event dates – always on Thursdays:

• 12 November 2026
• 3 December 2026
• 14 January 2027
