Schola Pragensis
The Canadian International School Took Part in a Prestigious High School Exhibition, SCHOLA PRAGENSIS The Canadian International School participated in the biggest Prague High School exhibition called SCHOLA PRAGENSIS, which took place in the Congress Centre from the 28th to the 30th of November, 2019. The exhibition introduced a wide range of secondary schools from Prague and its surroundings, public competitions and a music program. The exhibition SCHOLA PRAGENSIS was intended as usual for the general public – especially for Grade 9 pupils and their parents and others interested in studying at secondary schools of all types. Schools present not only their facilities, but also the results of their work, both in teaching and in areas of special interest activities. Potential candidates for study could see what the school offers, compare schools, and get a broad picture of learning possibilities in Prague and its surroundings.
Our school introduced itself in a typically yellow exhibition booth situated on the fourth floor among other high schools. Everyone who was interested could get basic information about our school, try a fun Quiz about Canada, and enjoy delicious pancakes with maple syrup. The school management also tried to establish contacts with other schools and their teachers and directors. Our school was presented not only by our managers by also by our students - during those three days there were many CIS students rotating at the booth who could practice their presentation skills. Students accompanied our mascot around the Congress Centre. We are pleased that the CIS is becoming more and more well-known and that our booth is visited by an increasing number of people every year.
