We had such a great time at Ivy Chimneys School! The students really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, afternoon cream tea, rounders, floorball, and of course getting to know their pen pals and other students. After a stroll through the forest for an ice cream in Epping center yesterday afternoon, we returned to our house families for dinner, cleaning, and packing. We can't believe the week went so fast... At Gatwick airport departures now, waiting for our flight!

After yesterday's walk through Piccadilly Circus and shopping at Hamley's, we arrived to the hosts early for dinner and relax time. This morning, we headed to Ivy Chimneys Primary School to visit with our pen pals, present information about the Czech Republic, learn about the local area, and teach our new friends some Czech phrases. After lunch and recess, we'll play rounders and floorball, then perhaps stroll to Epping center before going back home to pack!

After last night's amazing performance of Matilda, we spent the morning with a half-hour stroll through Kensington Gardens, walking past the palace and snacking on the steps of the Albert Memorial. Now we're at the world-famous Science Museum, where we are exploring the hands-on Wonder Lab, a rocket show, and exhibitions about engineering, biology, and space. Soon we'll head to the highly anticipated Hamley's.

5th and 6th graders spent an awesome late morning and early afternoon in Oxford, where we learned about the famous university, its students including the authors of Alice in Wonderland, Narnia, and Lord of the Rings, and the filming of Harry Potter. We're now on the bus back to London for Covent Garden Market and then to the theatre for Matilda!

Even though we arrived in late night hours, we caught up with our sleep easily. We recharged our batteries right away in the morning in sunny London. We saw the guards exchange and right now we are enjoying the picnic in St James Park.
