A Day as a First-Grader at SUNNY: A Day Full of First School Experiences

What is it like to be a schoolchild? Our future first-graders can find out during our traditional A Day as a First-Grader event, organised by SUNNY for preschool children.

Through fun and engaging activities, children will become familiar with the school environment, meet our teachers and get a glimpse of Czech, English and mathematics lessons. They will also experience what a typical school day looks like and explore places they may one day come to know well – from classrooms to the school library and cafeteria.

Why is A Day as a First-Grader beneficial for children? It helps them become familiar with the school environment, build confidence and look forward to this exciting new chapter in their lives. As a result, they can approach the official first-grade enrolment as a lovely opportunity to return to a familiar place and as a wonderful first step on their journey towards new school experiences.

We look forward to welcoming all our little future schoolchildren and sharing their first school experiences at SUNNY!

First Grader for a Day poster: dates 12 November 2026, 3 December 2026 and 14 January 2027, meet at 7.45 at the school reception, finish at 12.00 at the reception. Bring indoor shoes, a drink and a good mood.
