COVID - 19 Testing at SCIS

Dear Parents,

Over the last year, Sunny Canadian has not only put a tremendous effort into online teaching, but has also striven to maintain the school as a healthy and safe place. Germicidal lamps are installed around the school, everyone's temperature is measured daily, all parts of the building are disinfected and a large number of measures have been set up to help ensure the safest possible environment for our students, families and teachers. We firmly believe that this extraordinary commitment of ours is paying off. 

And now we have some really great news to share. It is our pleasure to announce that we have managed to establish cooperation with the renowned collection center of the General University Hospital and arrange in house antigen testing at our school. Testing will be carried out every Thursday from 9 am to 11 am for the entire period during which the carrying out of these antigen tests is covered by public insurance.

Testing is intended for our students and their parents or siblings, as well as school staff. Two mobile testing teams will arrive at SCIS on Thursday, January 21 at 8:30 a.m., and the procedures will begin at 9 a.m. As mentioned above, this testing is covered by public insurance. All you need is a completed application form (sent as an attachment to this e-mail) and an insured person's ID card. 

If someone tests positive, a PCR test will be performed on site. This will also be covered by public insurance. In line with health department guidelines, the rule applies that it is possible to test clients from public insurance a maximum of once every 5 days. Furthermore, it is not possible to test from public insurance clients who have been tested positively by PCR in the last 90 days and persons who have been tested by PCR in the last 5 days with a negative result.

Thanks to all the measures and regular testing of teachers, staff, pupils and their families, we will create a school together, where Covid is as unwelcome as possible. Our students and teachers deserve this high standard and we are happy to offer it to them. If you are interested in having yourself, your family or your children tested on Thursdays from 9 am to 11 am (starting 21.1.21), please fill in the attached application form (Velikost: 761.8 kB) and send it back to us no later than Sunday 17 January. We will confirm at the beginning of next week whether it is possible to perform the test on the requested date (capacity is limited) and tell you the time to attend school for the test. Please send requests in response to this email.
