COVID - 19 Testing 28.1.2021

Dear parents and students,

Welcome to the end of another successful week at Sunny Canadian. As you know, Covid-19 antigen testing took place yesterday at school. I thank everyone for their participation and I am pleased to announce that the results were negative for all those who were tested. Personally, I very much appreciate the fact that Sunny's teachers and staff have also take up the opportunity to be tested and, even though some of them were a little nervous, the effort to make sure that we didn't pass Covid to each other means that we know that we are healthy. We can also continue to learn Sunny in full-time kindergarten and first and second grade, as well as online for the rest of the school. Thanks also to the parents and children who attended the testsing, everything ran absolutely smoothly and in a very pleasant atmosphere. Many thanks, of course, also to the VFN sampling team, which inspected and performed everything with great professionalism.

We plan to test again next week on Thursday, January 28, 2021 in the morning. Again, we offer you the opportunity to have the children and yourself tested - please confirm your participation by e-mail by Sunday, January 24, and send us the completed applications (Velikost: 761.8 kB) (or you will be able to fill them in on the spot). For testing scheduled for next week, the same rules apply as today: Testing is covered by public insurance. It is possible to test clients from public insurance a maximum of once every 5 days. Furthermore, it is not possible offer public insurance test to those who have been tested positively by PCR test in the last 90 days and/or who have been tested by PCR test in the last 5 days with a negative result. If someone tests positive, a PCR test will be performed on site.

According to the information from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, there is no change for next week and the classes will participate in teaching according to the following table:

The kindergarten continues to operate as before. The physical presence of pupils in the 1st and 2nd years of primary school is also allowed. Online learning is compulsory for G1-9 and High School (4G1-4G4) students as before, so they will continue with virtual lessons. All classes will taught according to the set timetable. The end of the first semester is approaching - the first and second classes will receive a copy of their semester report on Thursday, January 28, at school. Older classmates and their legal guardians will receive their reports by email.

On Friday, January 29, Grade 1 – Grade 9 and High School have a one-day half-year vacation. Students from G1 to 4G4 do not need to be in school on the 29th January. These half-year holidays do not apply to kindergarten, so I look forward to seeing our little ones in kindergarten as usual next Friday.

Of course, we will continue to monitor the development of the epidemiological situation in our country - next week we will inform you what the teaching will look like in the first week of February.
